I adore the chiffon afternoon dresses of the 20s and 30s…they’re among the easiest pieces to wear (and are fabulous space and weight savers when you’re packing for Art Deco events…they fold up into absolutely nothing). They just float around you like air.
Every issue of Le Petit Echo de la Mode has these fabulous centre double page colour spreads…unfortunately, I can’t successfully photograph or scan them without unbinding them to lay flat, so here’s an attempt to given an idea of what they look like. This is from 1926.
